1. The service

VoteBank provides tools to create and participate in polls and surveys, view live and historical results, and related features (including groups, pages, and analytics). Soft-launch features on the website and early app builds may change, pause, or end without notice.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use VoteBank.
• You must provide accurate registration information.
• You may not use the service if doing so is prohibited under Indian law or the laws of your location.

3. Accounts & security

• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Keep login credentials and devices secure; notify us of suspected unauthorised use.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the platform.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Vote fraudulently, use multiple accounts to manipulate results, or automate voting without our written permission
• Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against others
• Post illegal, sexual content involving minors, extreme violence, or content that infringes others’ rights
• Spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
• Misrepresent affiliation with VoteBank, elections, or public authorities
• Use VoteBank to run regulated political advertising or electioneering where you lack required compliance

We may remove content, hide results, reset tallies, or restrict features when we reasonably believe these rules or the law have been broken.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of polls, comments, and other content you submit. You grant VoteBank a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and create aggregate analytics from that content for operating and improving the service. You represent that you have the rights to grant this licence and that your content complies with these Terms.

6. Results & analytics

• Results are informational and may be incomplete, delayed, or adjusted for integrity (e.g. spam filtering, privacy thresholds).
• VoteBank is not an official election system and does not certify electoral outcomes.
• Demographic and geographic analytics depend on optional profile data voters choose to share.
• Creators may access analytics for their own polls subject to product entitlements.

7. VoteBank intellectual property

The VoteBank name, logos, design, software, and branding are owned by VoteBank or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or use them except as allowed by these Terms or with prior written consent.

8. Third-party services

The service may link to or integrate third-party sites and tools. We are not responsible for their content or policies. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

9. Paid features

Some analytics or creator features may require a paid plan in the future. Pricing, renewals, and refunds (if any) will be described at the point of purchase. Soft-launch access does not guarantee free access forever.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoteBank and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoteBank and its operators from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using VoteBank at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations or risk to the platform. Sections that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the service.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
